Healing Rock Kennels, owned by Ron and Sharon Hall, is located in Skiatook, Oklahoma on the Osage Nation Reservation and is home to some of the finest West Highland Terriers (Westies) and Papillons around. The Healing Rock is a natural monument on the reservation still considered by Native Americans to be a special place of healing. It is triangular in shape with its jagged apex pointing upward to the heavens and it just may have a little something to do with the high quality Westie puppies and Papillon puppies we breed in this area.
The Westie pup is a game and hardy little Terrier that is easy to train. They are fairly friendly with strangers and get along well with older children. They are lively and extremely self-assured with other dogs. In fact, you may find that your Westie rules your larger dog! Westies generally do not pick fights with other dogs but they may chase a cat for fun. They love companionship and will do well as an inside or outside dog. Nothing can describe the way their cuteness wins your heart or the fun they bring to your home. If you want a sturdy, happy, fun pet, then a Westie is your pick! Once you’ve been bewitched by the Westie charm, you’re hooked!
The Papillon pup is a beautiful toy dog that is adaptable to change. They are only 8-11 inches tall and weigh about 9-10 pounds as adults. They are definitely an inside dog but love outside supervised play. They also do well in agility trials. They are smart, devoted, and very attentive to their owners. Papillons are easy to travel with or perfectly satisfied staying at home. They love human companionship and are great pets since they do not have a doggy odor. Papillons will give you undivided attention and are great, low-maintenance companions.
